One such initiative was The Addison Project. An Australian first, The Addison made use of a temporarily vacant space providing a shelter for vulnerable young people. Working in partnership with several key social enterprises, servicing the local community. The Addison Project offered not only shelter managed by My Foundations Youth Housing, but Orange Sky’s shower and laundry facilities, food through the OzHarvest Supermarket as well as access to new clothes thanks to Thread Together.
It was five incredible years at The Addison Project, and throughout that time, together, we made a phenomenal impact on communities across Sydney. To try and quantify the impact that The Addison Project had on the community would just not do it justice. It not only touched thousands in need, but also had an immeasurable impact on all the volunteers and people involved in setting it up.
